TA DA....NOW THE WORK REALLLY BEGINS!
Well....here are the 15 quilts! All that is left is getting the tops ready for quilting. They all still need borders and some will be larger. The quilting will be by hand for some and machine quilting and hand quilting for the others...a combo I am working on to speed things along! Some are gifts for the holidays and they are being worked on first...hey, I have time! :)
The fall updates have begun to happen. Four quilts are being machine quilted and getting ready for the Pompanoosuc Furniture Sale where they will feature quilters and their works are for sale there! Thanx to Joanne...things will get done!!! Four and counting! Photos of course will be happening once the pieces are done...by Oct 20! Ahhh!

Do you ever have a lot of the same color theme and wonder how many quilts you can make? Well...there was enough to make 9 quilts...this started as a project for someone who wanted 3 quilts and just grew! I added more fabrics as I was running out and here are the results. The star with string strips is actually the last one.

VICTORIAN FALL is the first of a 5 part series with the seasons of New England. The last quilt will have all four seasons together using fabrics and embellishments from the other quilts. This won a red ribbon at Northern Lights Quilt Show.
The ribbon work and buttons are anchors for holding the layers together. The embellishment is mostly all done by hand. I used some machine embroidery that I could later work with beads.

A memory quilt in honor of the women who were shining stars in my childhood. This is composed of items that were given to me and I decided to do something with all the stuff! Things like jewelry, handkerchiefs, apron , tablecloth, buttons, and fabric from a quilt that had seen better days. There are two CRAZY Q methods used in this quilt and various methods to embellish were used. The buttons became flower gardens, and anchors for the layers. This won a Viewers Choice ribbon.
